Figg is the new collaboration of Robin Peringer (Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Carissa’s Wierd), and Gilden Tunador (Queen Maud Land, Stella Maris, Carissa’s Wierd).

Robin and Gilden began their musical journey in Seattle while playing together in Carissa’s Wierd, the celebrated band epicenter in the wheel whose spokes generated the groups Band of Horses, Grand Archives, “S”, and now Figg.

There’s a Pacific North West influence on Figg’s record, felt not only from some of the area’s bands, but from the region itself, where its moody weather, majestic mountains, and lush forests dwarf and render man’s egotistical pursuits insignificant. A perfect sound track for a blissful drive in the country, Figg makes music that transcends the listener above human nature and invokes a peace often found when surrounded by Mother Nature.

Figg is honored to have their former band mates from CW perform on several tracks:  Mat Brooke of Grand Archives lends his talents with back up vocals and guitars and Sarah Standard layers her violin.

Not content to sit and idle, Figg embarks on its maiden voyage with bright lights, driving ambition, and a heartfelt delivery.
